KAM DDX5000 Direct Drive Magnetic Platter DJ Turntable Vinyl Record Player
KAM DDX 5000 turntable, product description below, will play 33 45 & 78 records. Comes as pictured with flight case, with removable lid, (not back panel, deck has to be taken out of the case to connect leads & to be used) all original, includes aluminium ex juke box 45 disk spacer, power lead, earth + phono (RCA) lead and removable/adjustable RCA target light! Upgraded to Ortofon cartridge with elliptical Ortofon needle (gets deeper into the grooves for great sound from previously overplayed / damaged records). This deck has been owned by me since new, I've never really used it as I use a pair of Stanton's which I love this is one of the best possible decks, that I truly have never really used!
The weight puts it into the 1210 class but it surpasses the technics! You won't be getting feedback from it ever, which is a big part of the 1210s if you play live DJ you know what I mean! The sound reproduction is amazing, the Ortofon elliptical needle is specifically designed for getting deeper into the groove! I originally bought the deck to digitise my vinyl collection hence the needle choice!These get deeper than standard needles which are spherical, this means that they can pull out the music even from damaged records as most needles are spherical and do not get to the depths of the cut! Not to be used by scratch DJs! As this could could damage vinyls beyond the wishful ears of any listener! The best use would be for studio use when you are recovering music from old vinyl/shellac, or just put a different stylus on!
